Residential Renewable Energy Solutions (RRES), with Buy-All and Netting tariffs

Home solar owners choose one of two 20-year options. With Buy-All, the utility buys all the power your system makes. With Netting, you use your own power first and get bill credits for what you send to the grid.

2026 Buy-All: $0.3289 per kWh. 2026 Netting: retail-rate credit for exports, a $0.000 REC rate, and a $0.0402 per kWh charge on total generation. Adders: low-income $0.055 (Buy-All) or $0.035 (Netting); economically distressed municipality $0.0275 (Buy-All) or $0.0175 (Netting). A system can take only one adder.

Date of this figure: Program Manual Version 2026.1, effective January 1, 2026; applies to interconnection applications from January 1 to December 31, 2026.

Energy Storage Solutions

A program for Eversource and UI customers that helps pay for a home battery, with or without solar. You get an enrollment payment, then performance payments for 10 years based on how much the battery delivers during grid events.

For enrollment applications on or after April 1, 2026. Enrollment: $30 per kWh, or $130 per kWh for Grid-Edge customers. Performance: $300 per kW standard, $450 per kW underserved, $550 per kW low-income, paid over 10 years.

Date of this figure: Effective April 1, 2026.

Net metering

Connecticut's RRES program replaced net metering and the earlier residential solar incentive in January 2022. New home systems use the Buy-All or Netting option instead.
