Our process

From the first quote to the day your system turns on.

Skyline Solar handles every step, in order, with one team you can call.

  1. Your quote

Tell us about your home and your electric use. We put together a proposal and walk you through the ways to pay and the programs your home qualifies for.

  2. Site survey (about 90 minutes)

A Skyline surveyor checks the roof, the attic, the shade and the electrical panel, and takes the measurements and photos our designers need. If something needs attention first, like an old roof or a full panel, you hear about it now.

  3. Design and engineering

Our designers lay out the system to fit your roof or yard, and engineers check the structure and the electrical work.

  4. Permits and utility paperwork

We file the permit with your town and the interconnection application with your utility, plus the rebate and SREC paperwork.

  5. Installation

Our crews install the panels, the wiring, and the battery or panel upgrade if your job has one.

  6. Inspection

Your town's inspector checks the finished work. We schedule it.

  7. Permission to operate

Once the inspection passes, we send the paperwork to your utility. When it grants permission to operate, your system can be turned on, and we help you set up monitoring.

  8. Service for the life of the system

Repairs, monitoring problems, remove-and-reinstall when you re-roof: start at Request Service or call 732-354-3111. Every installation carries our 10-year workmanship warranty.
